Trying to change theme but old one remains

    Hello there. I was hoping someone might have an answer for this. I just started a new blog and have changed the theme (free account) but the new theme I chose isn’t showing up on the website. I’ve refreshed multiple times, and cleared my cache. No change. In my settings, it says that I have activated the new theme, but the old one is active on the site. Weird!

    Which site is this for? I see you have a few on your account. Is it lakecomodiaries.wordpress.com?

    One thing to be aware of is that changing your theme is a lot like changing the clothing on a mannequin. Your content (pages, blog posts, uploaded media) don’t go anywhere or change that much… they just assume the style of the new theme

    Or, to think of it another way, when you switch to a new theme the demo appearance is not loaded automatically (instead your existing content is preserved) so this can sometimes make it appear as though nothing has changed when in fact your theme has changed but the content makes it look similar to what you had.

    We can however delete the existing content on your site and load the demo content instead. Would you like to do this instead, or is it important that you retain your current content as well? What is the name of the theme you are wanting to use, so we can confirm that demo content is available?
