Trying to change themes

Sorry to post such a basic question, but I am just starting out here and am lost. I am trying to figure out how to change themes. Following the instructions in the features area, it says to login to my dashboard and select presentation. Problem is when I click “your dashboard” from my main page, it does not show a page anything like what the help menu shows. There’s no presentation link, for example. I guess I’m having problems finding the same dashboard they are referring to. Thank you.

I don’t see that heading either. I have the following headers on my dashboard:
Blog Stats Blog Surfer My Comments Tag Surfer
I am trying to follow a youtube tutorial, but my page looks nothing like his. Thanks

The video is for wordpress.com blogs, not self-hosted?

There is no write, manage or design on my dashboard. I thought I had a wordpress.com blog. Do I have the wrong program? Sorry, I’m lost and was hoping the tutorial would help me. :)
