Trying to create a 2nd website

    WordPress won’t let me create a 2nd website using my existing email account. My current website is solentaviatrix.wordpress.com with messages from wordpress going to my hotmail account
    I’m trying to create a 2nd website called wightwings.wordpress.com. I was prompted for an email address. I entered (email visible only to moderators and staff). The error message issued was ‘there is a problem with this email address’.
    So I tried again to create a new email address within the wordpress website set up form, using (email visible only to moderators and staff), thinking that this would automatically create a new email address for me. But when I tried to log in to hotmail using this and the password I’d entered for wightwings, I got the error message ‘password wrong’.
    This is very confusing. Is there any way I can create a 2nd wordpress website still using my existing email address. I don’t want to have multiple email addresses.

    wightwings.wordpress.com is up and running, but it seems you may have inadvertently created a second WordPressdotcom account. I’ve tagged this for Staff assistance to try and help straighten this out.

    As @JenT pointed out, it appears that you inadvertently created two separate accounts with two different e-mails. But, alas, I can fix this for you =).

    All I need to know is what account do you want to have both sites under? The account that solentaviatrix.wordpress.com is currently under? Or do you want both sites under the account you are currently contacting us from (the one with wightwings.wordpress.com) under it? Also, let me know what e-mail you prefer. The e-mail will be redacted and I will only be able to see it.

    If you do prefer to use the account that solentaviatrix.wordpress.com is under, I will need for you to post in this thread under that account – that will verify that you own the account.
