Trying to create a free site but it never generates.

I am trying to create a free wordpress site here: https://wordpress.com/start/free/domains?ref=pricing-lp but it never loads, it just gets stuck on ‘Planning the next chess move’ with the three dots scrolling. I have left it running for hours but still don’t get anything.

This was an issue first reported to us earlier today and we’ve since deployed a fix.
May I ask you to clear the browser cache please as this should now be resolved: https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-your-browser-cache
