Trying to create a new blog that says it's taken but was deleted?

  I am trying to re-create a wordpress hosted site after a long hiatus (not the address I have given here). I cancelled that user name long ago but it still tells me it’s taken. However, when I try to go to that URL it says it has been deleted. Please help!

  Hi there. Deleted URLs cannot be re-used, not even by the original owner. If it says it’s deleted then that address is gone and there is no way for you to use it. http://en.support.wordpress.com/recycling-blog-names/
