Trying to create a new site
-
It won’t let me create my password, always wants me to click the button that generates one. I just tried a completely new password I have never used and it says the same, that I used it before. Not true!

Hmm. Sounds like something is off with the security page.
Can you please open an incognito window in Chrome/private window in Firefox and log into your account. Then try changing the password there.
If that works, clear your browser cache and cookies and log in with a normal browser session. Then you should be able to to log in using the new password.
Also, when I go to my new reelpeopleblog page, it has what my site is about below the post of an interview I did with someone. Shouldn’t it be the other way around?
The newest post on your site will always appear at the top, with the oldest post at the bottom. If you want your first post to be at the top you need to make it a sticky post.
Go to My Sites ->Blog Posts and edit your first post. Click where it says PUBLISHED just above the update button, and select the option to set it to sticky. That way that post will always be at the top.
I want to see how it looks when the public goes to it, but if I am logged in, it always shows me my dashboard.
If you go to https://reelpeopleblog.wordpress.com/ in your browser you will see exactly what your visitors see. The only difference is, your visitors won’t see the edit links on your posts.

I was able to change that first blog post to a sticky. A friend suggested I look for an About page but I couldn’t find one. Also, when I sent him an invitation to be an admin (he’s quite trustworthy), it was sent from my heidipetsitting site and not reelpeople. He said he could put the photo of the person I interviewed on the sidebar of reelpeople and not the header. Is the login info for the 2 sites different?
Thanks.

The login info for the two sites are not different, as they are in the same account. But if you invite someone to your site you need to invite them to the correct site. If you go to My Sites, click Switch Site at the top as I’d explained earlier, and select the correct site before you go to People.
I would rather place the photo of the person you interviewed in the post itself. If you place it in the sidebar it will stay there and will be visible everywhere on your site, even if you publish a new post. If you place it in the post it stays with that post even when you publish new ones.
If you want an about page you need to create one by going to My Site ->Pages ->Add.
Have you worked through the tutorial @timethief linked to in her reply yet? I think that will answer most of your questions and make creating your site much easier:

A friend of mine put the photo in the blog itself, I believe. But I shall read that link to find out more.
Thank you for all your help. Most appreciated.
