Trying to create a "…Read More" style for my website – need help

    Hey all,

I’m working on a satirical news site. go to http://www.spinatlantic.com to see the layout I’m trying to accomplish (That’s the site as-is).

I’m using categories for the menu system, so that’ll populate as I’m adding content. The thing I’m trying to accomplish, however, is to have a “Read More” style for the articles.

By that, I mean I’d love for users to browse the content and all they see on a given page are titles + images + quick blurb and they can click “…Read More” to read the entire article.

The only solution I could find is to have the “…Read More” link to a Page (rather than a post) with the full content. The problems with this are that I’m not getting authorship on the pages (doesn’t say “By Frank Island” at the top of the pages) and the title of the article will link back to the same page with the “…Read More” (since all it’s doing is linking to the post independently) where they would have to click “…Read More” on the post page to get to the actual Page.

In short, is there a setting where I can set up posts on the home page to cut themselves off and have a “…Read More” which will link them to the full blog post on it’s independent URL? Sorry if it’s hard to articulate the problem; I’m having to figure a lot of this stuff out on the fly.

    Thanks!

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The Read More is to send a visitor to the full Post, not a Page
