Trying to create a table of contents to display child pages on parent pages
-
All of my parent pages show perfectly on the menu just as I want. The subpages drop below each parent page when the cursor scrolls over the menu tabs just as I want them.
The issue I’m trying to resolve is allowing these subpages to show in a Table of Contents style format on the parent pages. For example, when you click my tab “Published Pieces,” it links me to an empty page. However, I have various subpages to the “Published Pieces” page that I would like to appear on this parent page.
This would look much more professional and would allow to give the viewers a sense of the subpages before entering them.
Thank you so much for your help! I’ve been trying to figure out a solution to this for awhile.

Note that if you use Windows Live Writer it has a tablemaker > http://en.support.wordpress.com/xml-rpc/windows-live-writer/
To create your own HTML tables see here > http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2013/04/09/table-coding-for-wordpress-com-users/ -
If creating a table is not what you want to do then simply type the sub-page URLs onto the bottom of the parent pages and whatever other text you desire to appear there.

create a custom menu

add parent and child pages to it

Thank you for responding!
I’m not very proficient in coding at all. It’s a fantastic idea, but is that the only way to create the table?
If so, I’d much rather have a un-clickable tab on my menu as described in the last link you sent me. Would you or anyone by chance know how to explain to me the process of doing so? The instructions given on the site were a bit confusing.
Thank you for your time!
