Trying to deactivate another wordpress account

My name is Shelley Spillman. I am logging in under my husband’s wordpress account as I do not have one, and there is not support telephone number and it seems you have to have an account to reach the support department. I just started a new job with the Franklin County Women and Family Shelter. We formerly had a wordpress site under a previous administrator which was this address (https://fcwomens.wordpress.com/), but this previous administrator passed away some time ago and we don’t have the login or password to delete this old account. This is our new website http://www.fcwomenandfamilyshelter.org/. Can you please tell me what we have to do to get the wordpress site deleted?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Although I appreciate your predicament WordPress.com staff are very reluctant to delete sites just on the say-so of someone who (as far as they are concerned) has no legitimate ownership/right of access to them. It really does pay organisations to keep a record of log-in details for just such an eventuality as this.

I have come across a couple of (very rare) instances where staff have set sites to private due to similar circumstances so I have added modlook to the tag box to the right. Hopefully that will get you a response from staff about this issue although there are no guarantees anything can be done without proof of ownership.
