Trying to delete a blog

I have two old experimental blogs that have been inactive on my WordPress account for over a year. I have been trying to delete them, but each time I go to Tools – delete site – I receive a message saying that an email will be sent to me and that I will have to click on the link in order for the website to be deleted. When I click on the link it just takes me back to “General settings” and I have to repeat the process again! I have done this four times, and the old blogs are still there. How can I get rid of them?

Are you referring to ‘cashtrapped’ and ‘democracyisntworking’?
If you want I can delete the blog for you. Note that blog deletion is permanent and the name can never be used again. Please reply to confirm.
If you want to temporarily hide your blog instead, please use privacy option so only you and logged-in members of the blog can view it.

No – the blogs I wanted to delete were giveusthechat and theflavourco. I think they have been deleted now.
After I posted this query I finally received two emails that had links to directly delete these blogs, which I did, so I think the problem has been sorted out now. Thanks for your help.
