Trying to delete account

    Hi, I want to delete my ancient blog. Username Villagegreenrealty. I tried to permanently delete my account, but the site says I have active purchases that need to be removed, but there is no option to remove them. Can you help?

    Hi there,

    Purchases can be removed in the Manage Purchases area of your account:
    https://wordpress.com/me/purchases

    If you’re looking to delete your site, there are instructions here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/delete-site/
    Please note: Deleting a site permanently removes it and you’ll never be able to re-use its WordPress.com address (such as yourgroovysite.wordpress.com).

    Please note: This not only shuts down your username, it deletes all the sites you own and all their contents. After a few weeks, this data will be entirely purged from our servers and the process cannot be reversed.

    Hi there,

    I’ve removed the old Premium Theme on your site, so you will now be able to delete the account.


    @catkiinson    , please tag threads like these for staff – when someone describes this problem it indicates they have a premium theme on their site, and those cannot be cancelled via Purchases as you described. Only staff can remove those.
