Trying to delete my account

    It won’t let me delete my account and says to contact support.

    Hi there!

    There is a self-hosted WordPress.org site connected to your account. Please remove that site first as explained here:

    Homepage

    Once the site has been disconnected, you should be able to close your account without any issues.

    Hi, Thank you. I figured it was something like that. However, the site I believe it is connected to it, is inactive. I tried to follow those steps from the link you shared and that isn’t working. When I try the “My Site” tab I get a pop-up message of “Please check your Primary Site’s Jetpack connection”. Then it won’t even go to the page.

    I just really need to delete it. Because it’s even doing a yearly “Akismet Blog Spam Filtering” renewal for $36 and I can’t even remove that. As it’s saying there are no cards saved.

    Is it possible for you to delete it or disconnect the account…even remove the subscription?

    So for Aksimet, you’ll want to head to https://akismet.com/account and ensure all upgrades are removed there first.

    Once that is done, we can remove the site for you on our end if you’d like. Can you make sure there’s nothing left on the Akismet account then update us here?

    Thank you! I was able to delete it myself, but forgot to close the post first. I appreciate the help.
