Trying to delete old blogs but need to cancel plans first
-
I am trying to delete several old sites but I get this error:
‘You have active premium upgrades on your site. Please cancel your upgrades prior to deleting your site.’
However, these purchases were one-time purchases and there isn’t anything I can cancel. It just says ‘Never Expires.’How do I cancel the necessary plans?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi @chaskell,
First, make sure you’re logged into WordPress, go to your .me page https://wordpress.com/me
Next select “Manage Purchases” from the left sidebar, on the right the plans you have purchased will appear. At the bottom there is an option to ‘remove WordPress.com Premium’.

Hmm, sorry you are having issues, you can tag this post with “modlook” and staff may be able to help you.
-
Oops, sorry, over in the right sidebar there are tags, type Modlook in the box and click add. :)

Hey there,
I see that you have multiple sites with premium themes on them. Were you wanting to delete them all? If not, which ones in particular?
Let me know, thanks!
-
are you able to see my account? can i apply those themes toward my current blog so I can continue to experiment with them, or are they attached to specific blogs? If so, they are:
Linen
Delicious Magazine
Gridiculous Pro -
What I can do is add some credits to your account so that you can repurchase the themes for you new blog. What blog are you wanting to add the themes to?
Confirm that this is okay, and I’ll add the credits. Thanks!

Okay, I added credits to your account so that you can repurchase the themes that you had on your other blogs. Let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks!

Actually, I can’t find the credits for the 2 blog templates you deleted. I see one left that I’m not sure if I’m using or not.
When I tried to buy the OnePress Plus template it routed me to their site to pay, no credits.
Also, in the notifications area I still see several blogs that I thought I had deleted, but are still there.
-
Hi there,
OnePress Plus is a third party theme for a self-hosted WordPress.ORG blog. Third party themes can not be uploaded to a free hosted WordPress.COM blog. They are for WordPress.ORG installs which run on different software.
The good news is that WordPress.COM has hundreds of available themes that you can activate, and they are found under Appearance > Themes
You can find out more about them here:http://en.support.wordpress.com/themes/adding-new-themes/
Let me know if you have any other problems or questions.
Cheers,

So I wasn’t stuck in the mud, I switched to Optimizer.
Still see old blogs in the notifications area though, and don’t know where to look for my credits.
-
You’ll see the credits available as you are checking out. So, you’ll need to first go to the theme section of the site you want to add the theme to, select the theme you want to purchase, and apply the credits toward the theme.
Also, what blogs are you trying to delete? I would privatize them instead in case you ever want to regain access to them.
Thanks,
-
this back and forth isn’t helpful – is there anyone who can help me on a chat or phone call? I have a long list of derelict blogs I’m trying to clean up now that I’ve focused on a few core projects.

Hi there,
We do not have phone support, but you should be able to contact us via live chat at the bottom left of your dashboard.
Let me know if you have any other questions.
Thanks,
