Trying to delete public site!

    Hi there and thanks for any help!
    I have done everything I can to attempt to delete/unpublish a very old and outdated site that was buried until very recently when I took my professional website down. Now it dominates google results when my name or business name is googled.

    I don’t have access to edit old and outdated information, wordpress is convinced I have no websites and cheerfully asks me if I’d like to start my first… I ‘deleted’ the site but all that did was give me even less access to try to edit/delete/pull down. Please help me to delete or bury this site?

    Hi Murial. Is your website still online? I understand from your post that you have removed but that it is still showing on search results, right?

    It takes a while for Google´s search results to update. If you have removed the site recently you may have to wait a little before results disappear.

    https://spoonsandsporks.wordpress.com is no longer available. The authors have deleted this site.

    Deleting blogs and/or blog content or making the site private does not remove indexed content from the SERPs (search engine page results) and we cannot help with that. Google and Bing only clear their caches of deleted indexed content that produces a 404 (page not found) every 3 – 6 months. To completely remove an entire page from Google search results after it produces a 404 (page not found):
