Trying to edit a draft from the new layout "my blog" page and it doesn't work

I’m having trouble editing my drafts from the new layout page. If I’m on the “my blog” page with the new layout style and click the edit button on a draft it takes me to “This web page is not available” with with this https://undefined/wp-admin/post.php?post=1935&action=edit as the URL. I’ve tried it several times, last night and today, and it doesn’t work. I have to go in another way, through the old layout, to edit. Anybody have a solution or what the problem might be? Everything else is working fine, thanks so much for your time!

You don’t need to use it at all. Instead you can go directly to the site’s dashboard and work from there. Dashboard > Posts > All Posts (Drafts)

hover over the title and click Edit -

Hi thank you. Yeah I know I can edit from the old page on the dashboard but I prefer the new one because it’s much easier to work with photos. The old version has some limits and I’m finding it more time consuming to use. If the new way will work that will be perfect! Thanks for the attention and I’ll check back for more help. Thank you!=)

I’m sorry for the trouble with this. I reported the issue to our developers so they can investigate why that Edit button isn’t working the way it should. I’ll let you know what I find out from them. Thanks for letting us know!

Ok, well it doesn’t give me the undefined error, it doesn’t work as I was hoping. From the my blogs/draft page I hit edit and it takes me to the old view/version of editing & posting which is what I was trying to avoid. Does that make sense? So I no longer get an error after hitting edit from the my blog page but it’s just the old layout rather than the new one. I can’t manually move photos and change their size ect. It’s the same as going in through my dashboard. Thanks anyway!

I’m re-reading my message here and it seems confusing, sorry if it is.
Just to clarify:
The page DOES load now but it’s not the same as new layout for writing posts, it’s the old one. Saves me one step since it loads I don’t have to go into the dash to get to the editing but would be much better if I could edit with the new layout & manually move and adjust photos. But thank you for your time and assistance and if wordpress is working to make the edit feature the same as the new posting that’d be great! thanks again. -

Ah yes, I know what you mean. Our developers are working on that new layout, so for now only the dashboard editor is available for editing posts. Sorry about that! We’re working on getting that new layout ready to fully launch. :)
In the meantime, though, you should be able to drag and drop photos to move them around in the dashboard editor, or resize them by clicking and dragging on the corners of the photos. We also have more tips for working with photos here: Images
