Hello,
Sorry to hear you’re encountering issues with editing your homepage after trying to create a new page. The black screen in Firefox when trying to access the site editor could be due to a few different factors. Let’s try a few things:
- Try a Different Browser: Sometimes, browser-specific issues can cause this kind of problem. Attempt to access the editor using another browser like Chrome or Edge to see if the issue persists.
- Clear Browser Cache: Clearing the cache in Firefox can resolve loading issues. Go to Firefox’s History > Clear Recent History, and make sure to select ‘Cache’ before clearing it.
- Check Browser Extensions: Browser extensions (like ad blockers) can sometimes interfere with WordPress.com’s functionality. Try disabling them temporarily to see if that resolves the issue.
- Use the Classic WP Admin Dashboard: You can try accessing the classic WordPress dashboard to edit your homepage. Append
/wp-adminto your blog’s URL (lubicaphotography.wordpress.com/wp-admin) and navigate to the Pages section. - WordPress.com Support: If these steps don’t help, consider reaching out to WordPress.com support. They might provide more specific solutions, especially since they can check backend logs.
Here’s a handy link to WordPress.com’s support: Get Help.
Hope one of these steps gets you back on track with editing your homepage. Let me know how it goes!
