Trying to figure out how this tutorial came up with this bar?

This is the bar that my online tutorial through Udemy is showing but mine doesn’t show like that. Why? It’s under the address bar in the browser…
It shows the ‘W’ logo, a timer, title of my site and then customize, comments indicator, new symbol and caching…
Is it because I’m using the free version of WordPress or maybe that I haven’t brought my official site over to WordPress and I’m just using the free version at www.******.wordpress.com?
Please help me understand if I’m doing something wrong or do I need to update something. I’m trying to follow along with my online tutorial and I’m just curious why mine doesn’t match up to his.
Thank you in advance for your help!

    Hey iptlr,

It seems more likely that the tutorial is about creating a website on WordPress.org, not on WordPress.com.

I hope you know both are two different platforms.

    WordPress.com vs. WordPress.org

Okay, so no, I didn’t. Thank you for the clarification.
So then, my next question is that I’m trying to be able to collect credit card info on my site eventually without having the real-time processing of the payments. I will be processing them manually offline using something like Square or some other offline payment processor.
Will a site using wordpress.org offer the necessary https: pages to collect that info?
I’m not sure if I’m asking the question properly but hopefully, you get what I’m asking.
Thank you very much for your response!

That’s doesn’t sound to be a right approach, because why would people submit their details if they don’t buy anything?

These are the sensitive details; you may directly use a contact form to send you an email. Of course, having HTTPS is vital.

If you decide to process the money through other means, you can ask your clients to send an email, for which, you can create your website on either platform.

If you still want to use WordPress.org, please submit your question to its forum.

To do so, you need to create an account on WordPress.org.
