Trying to filter out posts from Home Page ( which is not a page but blog url )

    I am trying to filter out 2 posts from appearing on my Home Page because they don’t really fit into my overall site. I have created a category page and have tagged the categories of these 2 posts to that page under Custom Menu. So currently these 2 posts appear under the Category Page. Now I want to take them off from being displayed on my Home Page. I could have used a Display Shortcode but I don’t have a Page for my home page. The homepage is just my blog url.

    What can I do about this? Need some quick help.

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    You can’t do that on a WordPress.com blog. If you want to hide them, set their date far in the past.

    You could do this if you had the Custom Design upgrade.
    Without the upgrade, what you can do is publish these two articles as static pages instead of posts.

    Thanks for the info. @justpi: Do you mean Custom Design allows for filtered displaying of posts?

    The upgrade allows you to change the appearance of any element, including removing it. So yes, if you have the upgrade you can use CSS editing to filter out a category of posts. If you wish to preview this, go to Appearance > Customize > CSS, delete the entire intro message and paste this:

    .home .category-blog-awards {
    display: none;
    }

    Thanks @justpi. That is very helpful.
