Trying to find the right tools for a photography studio website
-
Hey all,
I’m standing up a new 6000 square foot commercial studio and I need some software help. I have customers who will make this a viable business for me but I’d love to be able to plug into the local community and connect with other artists who can make this a space where they can work on their dreams. In order to do that I’d want a website that offers:
– Memberships (free and paid). I’d like members to have ratings and reviews but only members can rate other members. Paid memberships will renew on the 1st of the month.
– Directory listing (find models, photographers, muas, etc) Only members can see member listings.
– A shared calendar (so you can see what times are available for the studio to be rented). Only members can see the calendar. Members can submit a booking for open times on the calendar and pay for it online.Right now I’m thinking I’ll use wordpress and add plugins to fit the need but I have no idea what plugins would be best. Anyone got any recommendations?

Hi,

– Directory listing (find models, photographers, muas, etc) Only members can see member listings. The WooCommerce Membership extension should do what you are looking for:
A shared calendar (so you can see what times are available for the studio to be rented).
The Commerce bookings and reservations extension would be one way to go.
But you could probably also use something as simple as a shared private Google calendar.
