Trying to Format posts from email

  Hi,

  I am new to WordPress but the company I work for built our website using the platform. I recently decided to use one of the pages as a blog so that I can have certain employees post directly to the blog by emailing their company updates to the website. I set up a WordPress.com account and noticed that I was able to to the posting with all of the formatting intact. I was wondering which plugin would be best for this.

  I am using the Postie plugin for my hosted website. Is there a plugin that wordpress.com uses for this formatting feature?

  I tried using the native service but wasn’t able to figure out how to make it work.

  Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

  Sorry, plugins are not allowed on blogs at wordpress.COM for security reasons. Plugins are for self-hosted blogs using the software from wordpress.ORG.

  I’m sorry if I didn’t clarify myself.

  I would really appreciate it if you could give me some insight on how the wordpress.com feature could be used similarly with my hosted wordpress site

  I know that this is for support on wordpress.com sites and I do have a wordpress.com account

  To further clarify myself…

  I am looking for the plugin wordpress.com uses for their AWESOME email to post feature.

  If the answer is just nifty programming and part of the cool package here then that is fine. If not I would SOooo appreciate any suggestion in the right direction.

  That email posting plugin used here at wordpress.COM is a home-grown thing that they wrote themselves. In the following blog post they claimed it would be available for self-hosted blogs “soon” but what is the definition of soon? Apparently over a year it looks like.

  All I can suggest is that you contact staff directly and ask them as they are the only ones who know.
