Trying to get a question answered feels impossible
-
I have posted these questions to the forum and gotten no replies. So I really hope this avenue works.
There is clearly some issue with wordpress and chrome. I have screen shots I am happy to send if someone is interested. But I cannot bring up my notifications, I cannot like or comment, and this form does not work in chrome. Please fix this or please advise me if there is a setting that needs to be adjusted.
Also, I have sent in an event submission. I have actually sent it in twice since I have not gotten any sort of notification that it was accepted, reviewed, or any indication when it will be posted. I saw the message on the submission page that says the submission will not show up immediately, but I sent in my first submission almost three weeks ago and I made the second submission over a week ago. Please advise me when, and if, my event will be posted?
I’m sorry if this sounds terse, but I am feeling like I’m standing on a street corner yelling and no one is listening.

I’m going to add the note that I was not intending to post this inquiry to the forum. Since, as I stated, my last three questions posted in the forum have gone ignored. I really wish there were a way to connect with someone and not just a general forum and hope someone responds to my query.

Hello lulaharp!
Could you, please, post here the screenshots? You can check which is the last version of your browser on the link below:
And you can see which version you’re using at:
About the event issue, could you, please, give me more details of what exactly you’re trying to do?
-
I’ll post the screen shots when I am back at my computer.
Re the event issue… I have used the event submission form https://dailypost.wordpress.com/submit-blogging-event/
to submit an ongoing weekly blogging event and have not gotten any response and the event has not been posted. -
lulaharp, I’ll be waiting for the screenshots.
About your event, all of them are carefully reviewed before being added, a process that can take a couple of weeks at times. Your event should be added over the next few days.

I don’t see a way to post screenshots here either. However, you could probably post the link code to an image that you’ve uploaded elsewhere (such as on your own blog).
-
@lulaharp, like @ucsandiegoextension said, to post an image here you need to upload it in a different place and post the link to it here. You can use Cloudup for that:

here are screenshots of my issues w WP and chrome

It’s the weekend so while you are waiting for Staff response, have you tried using another browser? You can download one at http://browsehappy.com
-
Also, it has been almost a month since I submitted my event to be listed. How long does it take to review these? @carinapilar, a week ago your message said it should be added in a few days. I understand someone is reviewing these before posting, but not hearing anything makes this an incredibly frustrating process.
-
I use several browsers, but that isn’t the point. There is an issue w chrome that needs to be addressed
-
Yes, indeed and it will be addressed probably next week because as I said above it’s the weekend. Timeline for Answers to Support Requests

That little icon was the issue…
I look forward to hearing back from you re my event. Thanks
-
lulaharp, good to hear it’s okay with the browser now. I’m checking about your event. :)

Hello,
I wanted to let you know that I’ve just published your event listing at The Daily Post‘s Events page — you can find your event here: https://dailypost.wordpress.com/events/toast-tuesday/
I also want to apologize for the wait time before we approved your event. These are all screened and added manually, and we’re currently working through a backlog of submissions. As a result, our processing times — which are generally up to a couple of weeks — have grown longer than usual.
Thank you for your patience, and good luck with your fun-sounding blogging event!
