Trying to get front page and post page the same
-
Hi again,
I’m trying to get it so that when users click the title of the website (the very top header above the page names) that will link them to the first page (Home) which has is also the post page.
Basically I want the post page to be Home and the top to link to that page too.
I feel like I had it a little while ago, but then tried something different and now I can’t get it again, maybe I clicked some wrong buttons? :o
Hope to get some insight here- thanks! :D

Hi.
Dash->settings->reading
“Front Page Displays” check: “your latest post”remember to save.

You may find yourself with two “Home” options in the menu bar after doing changing the home page.
If this problem arises you can either delete, make private, or make into draft in the editor mode of the static page name “Home”
or
you just remove it from you menu:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/
(however it will still exist. as blogname.wordpress.com/home) -
Yeah I tried, setting both of them to the same thing gives an error.
Basically I just want this:
Clicking the top top of the website link brings you to the Home page:
The home page is the first of the links, it’s a page:
The home page (which clicking BOTH the top AND Home) display recent posts (as a summary). -
You go to Settings > Reading, set your front to display your latest posts (as dlager already suggested), scroll down and click Save Changes.
Then you go to Pages > All Pages and trash both of the useless pages you have created (the one you named Home and the one you have set as your posts page).
Then you go to Appearance > Menus, create a menu, give it a name, click View All in the Pages module to reveal the built-in “Home” link, check it, check your About and Media pages as well, click Add to Menu, click Save Menu; then select that manu from the pulldown in the Theme Locartions module, click Save.
