trying to get help from wordpress for over a week…

  Oh jimminy christmas…well no email confirming a change-of-email request was found in my hotmail account. Nothing in spam/junkmail. I did a full scan on my computer this morning and didn’t find anything…I do scans quite often though. Not sure about the add-on suggestion? It’s nice of you guys to help me out nonetheless.

  @dawnblue, staff have logs of the changes that are made to our accounts, so they can look into this. Again with this tagged for their attention I’m hoping it will get some action for you. Just be patient.

  As auxclass says, this sounds very much like your email account has been accessed by someone else and control of your wordpress account gained via that avenue. Obviously if a hacker had access to your inbox they would have deleted any messages from wordpress.com about password or email changes, which would explain why you can’t find any.

  Does hotmail allow you to see which IP addresses have logged in to your account recently? I know gmail does, but I haven’t used hotmail for years.

  I have tracked down your request and will respond via email.

  A quick word of advice, don’t continually reply to your ticket asking for updates.

  The age of your support ticket is reflected as the last reply received, so when we’re working on support cases from oldest to newest, bumping your ticket with new replies is a good way to make sure that we never see it.
