Trying to get recent posts on homepage

    Hello guys,

    I’m very new to wordpress and I want to make a very simple blog to keep family and friends up to date on a big trip I’m going to make.
    I’m facing the following problem: Looking at the ‘Publication’ theme of WordPress, you can see in the example that you have to homepage with a nice picture and when scrolling down you see a summary of all the recent posts that have been made.
    When I activate this theme, I just have the homepage with my welcome message, but I can’t seem to get my posts to show up on the same page. Only when I click on the ‘blog’ page, do they show. But this is of course a different page, which I don’t want.
    Any idea how to get the homepage and posts in 1 page?

    Hi

    Currently, it looks like you’ve created two blog posts on your site. Your Post “Welkom” is shown at the top with the large image, and your post “Het aftellen is begonnen” is known below that.

    As you continue to add posts, they will fill in the white area.

    It looks like you currently have it set up correctly.
