See here for what Staff have said:

We cannot provide purchase orders or invoices. We can only accept payment via PayPal or credit card and we do issue a full receipt after purchase. https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/contact-information-for-purchase-order-needed?replies=3#post-899203

Below are the only accepted means of payment.

WordPress.com uses PayPal as the payment processor, and as such, can only accept payment from countries they support: https://www.paypal.com/worldwide/

If for whatever reason, they have chosen to block payment from your country, you will not be able to purchase an upgrade here unless you have a source of payment outside of your country.

In addition to major credit cards Mastercard, VISA, American Express, Discover, and PayPal https://www.paypal.com/worldwide/ WordPress.com can accept echecks and some debit cards.

The debit card must have a VISA or Mastercard symbol on it, and should work just like a credit card when selecting the VISA or Mastercard option on the payment form, even though it’s a debit card.

    More about echecks here:
    https://www.paypal.com/us/webapps/helpcenter/article/?solutionId=13054&topicID=11500008&m=TCI

WordPress.com also accept Bitcoin for payment of certain upgrades ( bitcoin cannot be used for domain and premium theme purchases)
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/bitcoin/

All Billing information is found here > Dashboard > Store > Billing History and will be available to the logged in Admin, who registered the blog, owns it and pays for the upgrade. That’s where a receipt can be printed out. http://en.support.wordpress.com/billing-history/

OK don’t need that just need a w9

This is what I am getting from my people

A vendor will give you his taxpayer identification number, address and business name, and will certify he is not subject to backup withholding when he sends you a W-9 form, formally titled “Request for Taxpayer Identification Number and Certification.” The Internal Revenue Service requires that you obtain W-9 forms when you make inventory and service purchases from a vendor

Maybe I will have to talk to Automattic, Inc.?

Let me know if you can thanks

Perhaps instead of paying for the Premium upgrade it would be better to go the WordPress.org route and just set up a server on a web host. Was hoping to avoid all that but it looks like I am between my financial people who won’t move unless they have the W9 form and WordPress.com / Automattic Inc. who do not have this info readily available or accessible. Either way WordPress is too great of a platform not to use it for our web presence…anything else would always cause me to beg the question…”what was I thinking?” So unless I hear otherwise on to the land of WordPress.org I go. Thanks.

  • Hi there!

We’d be more than glad to provide you a signed W9, given that $600 worth of purchases from us have been made during the year. Please inform your accounting people about this and get back to me if you have additional questions. Thank you!
