Trying to hide the page title on each page
-
All,
I am looking for a way to hide the page title from each webpage. I have read up on it, and tried the following in my css code:
.home .entry-title (display:none !important; }however, the page title is still on each page underneath the banner picture. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thank you,
Owen

You can do this free of charge – no CSS editing required. Scroll down to “Other options, special cases and tricks” and locate “Tabs for pages but no page titles on the actual pages” here http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2011/12/19/custom-menus/

Is this the only way? Renaming the page under Quick Edit means I lose the name of the page in my list of pages. I also don’t have any menus created under Appearance > Menus.

I don’t help with CSS editing. I happened to remember that Page titles can be removed using the method I linked to. Not to worry as another Volunteer or Staff will assist you with a CSS solution when they can.

That did the trick! Thank you so much!
Do you know of a way to tweak it via CSS so the page info comes up a bit higher?
If not, no biggie, i’m just thrilled to have the page title off there!

Wow, thank you! You just clarified what several hours of forum reading didn’t . Thanks, and have a great weekend,
