Trying to install a plug in – help!

  I’ve downloaded a plug in and trying to install but I can’t see a plugins tab on my dashboard. I’m sitting looking at a tutorial which says “locate plugins on the dashboard and click to expand the menu” – I don’t have a plugins menu!

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Plug-in’s are not allowed on WordPress.COM for security reasons, that is why you have so many extra Widgets. You can use Plug-in’s on WordPress.ORG installs.

  What feature did you need? Many ways to do things here without the Plug-in’s, many very resourceful people that can help.

  I would like to insert a portfolio of pictures as a slideshow to my blog….can I do that?

  can you insert the banip plugin please? A simple mobile ‘wp-admin’ would be also useful.

  Let’s get this straight please. There is no FTP access to free blogs from and being free hosted by WordPress.COM. Therefore we cannot upload individual plugins into them. If you wish to use plugins you will have to get a free WordPress.ORG software inatall and hire a web host and set up your own self hosted site.

  Your topic is not related to this one. Yes you can bulk upload images to your Media Library. Yes you can have Galleries. Yes you can have sildeshows.

  Wow! I never realized there was a *.org and a *.com version and how different they are. Thank goodness for this thread. I was looking all over the place trying to find out how to install the plug-in I downloaded!
