Trying to install WooCommerce Plugin

  • Unknown's avatar

    Hi,

I am trying to upload the new WooCommerce plugin for our website and I keep getting this error message:

    Destination folder already exists. /home/content/p3pnexwpnas06_data02/64/2330664/html/wp-content/plugins/woocommerce/

    Plugin installation failed.

I am not code or cpanel savvy and the person who originally designed the website is away on vacation. I don’t know where to find this folder to delete it. Since I can’t find it our online ordering is down and I’d like to get it back up and running as soon as possible.

  • Hi @crab2013, I’m sure there’s a way through that error. These forums are for the free sites using our managed hosting service, though, which can be quite different from running your own WordPress installation at another host.

To me it sounds like WooCommerce is already installed, based on the error and the idea that the ordering was up and going earlier.

If not though, I’d bet your host knows how to deal with this error and help you through cPanel. Can you get in touch with them?

Here’s a link to the correct forums for self-managed sites:

And, if you’d rather run your site here so that someone else is taking care of the more technical things like this, let us know; we do have a few plans that support WooCommerce.
