Specifically, here’s my blog site:
I have a free WordPress.com site. I read that I might need a WordPress.org site but that seems overkill for me, a light blogger.
I am trying to get just one of these widgets to show up:
You can see what they’re looking like when I post them with the text widget tool on my homepage.

You cannot use javascript at all here. Nor iframes. Our security setup will not allow it.

Oh wow okay thank you. I was about to hit my head against a wall. How can I use my WordPress blog to post what I would like? Should I switch to .org??
-
I hardly think it’s worth it but then I don’t know what you would like to post and how important it is to you.
-
I see. I don’t know how much it costs…do you?
Is there a free option (hosting through someone else) for my blog? I like WordPress and I love the WordPress app on my iPhone…
-
It’ll cost you about $120 a year for hosting, $20 for a domain name, maybe $50-100 for a theme (free themes on WP.org can be dangerous and are often loaded with malware).
There are other free options, but this isn’t the best place to get advice about them. By definition everyone here has decided to use WP.com.
