Trying to login to manage my site, but the domain lapsed and was purchased by someone else
-
I can’t log in to my dashboard because it’s linked to the domain that the site was once registered to. The domain registration lapsed and a company that buys lapsed domains bought it and linked it to a different site. Now I can’t log in to WordPress to access admin on that site because my login link goes to someone else’s site. How do I regain access to that admin side of what I built here in WordPress now that I can no longer log in the way that I used to? I’d like to just buy a new domain and link the site to that instead, but need the info from my account to be able to do it.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there!
Can you please let me know your site’s address so I can point you in the right direction of getting support?

Thanks for your reply! The site *was* http://www.davesaitzyk.com and it was hosted with Dreamhost… I never cancelled the hosting, but it isn’t appearing in my Dreamhost dashboard either. That domain is a different site now. I’ll try posting in the open source forum as well. I’m a novice with just enough knowledge to build, register, and get my site hosted, so I can’t tell if there’s something I’m missing or another way to log in. It is my intention that it’s already hosted.

You’ll need to contact your hosting provider’s support about this.
They’ll be able to help you get the site back under a different domain: https://panel.dreamhost.com/index.cgi?tree=support.msg&
