Trying to make a banner responsive
-
http://www.otislandscapeassociates.com/about/
I am experimenting with a banner, but i am having difficulties in making it responsive across devices, e.g desktop, tablet, mobile without the image being stretched or not fitting correctly.
Would like some advice on how to get around this, also if i need to adjust the dimensions of the actually image etc.
Iam currently doing everything in css, so this is my preferred method of modification.
Thanks in advance.

Hi there!
The site you’ve mentioned, otislandscapeassociates.com, looks like it’s a self hosted WordPress site (and not hosted here on WordPress.com, using one of the themes we’re able to help support).
Looking at your site’s home page, it does appear to be responsive when I test different screen sizes.
The theme looks like it was built so the image will always fill your visitor’s screen. The challenge with that is that depending on the screen in question part of the image has to be removed.
If I view your site on a laptop, I have a landscape screen – wider than tall. If I pull out my phone, it’s the opposite – so the sides of the image won’t be fully visible.
If you have additional questions about the theme setup, your best bet will be to contact the theme developer for advice – I looked up their support forums for you :)
