Trying to map to a .melbourne domain
-
I have purchased the domain ‘christmaslights.melbourne’ via MelbourneIT a few days ago, and received confirmation and registry key, and am now trying to map this domain to use as my site’s primary address. However, I keep receiving an error message: ‘Sorry but christmaslights.melbourne has not been registered yet therefore cannot be mapped’.
What am I missing / doing wrong?

According to WordPress.com staff in a related forum thread, they need to manually add some domain names. That may be the case with your domain so I’ve tagged this for staff’s attention.

I’ve set up Domain Mapping for that domain for you with an expiration date of 10 days from now. You will need to renew the upgrade in order for it to continue to work. Please let me know if you have any trouble.

I’ve the same problem with the blog marbrublog.wordpress.com and the domain marbru.cat.
What can I do?
Thanks in advance -

@marbru2015, I’ve mapped this for you, so you’ll just need to finish up with these steps:
– Purchase the subscription by renewing here:
https://wordpress.com/my-upgrades– Point the domain to our name servers and give it a few hours to take effect:
ns1.wordpress.com
ns2.wordpress.com
ns3.wordpress.com– Set the domain as primary under https://wordpress.com/my-domains
If you need more help, please get in touch with us in a new thread — we’ll close this one since @melbournechristmaslights ‘s issue is resolved. Cheers!
