Trying to move to WordPress please help

I’m not internet savvy, so please explain in layman.
I’m trying to redirect my domain to work with wordpress.
I already received some help, and i tried the advices and they have worked well, but not completely.
I am sure it’s my fault, so please bare with me.
    My domain: http://www.thepoliticalus.com.
I purchased it with Godaddy almost 1 year ago. I hired someone to create a website and they did just fine. But I couldn’t pay attention to it, so i shut it down and removed the godaddy hosting.
I started using Blogger about 6 months ago with a different domain name, and I learned a little about blogging and enjoyed it.

Now I want to revive my old domain http://www.thepoliticalus.com, and use it with WordPress. I followed the “namesever” redirect instructions, and my domain now points to thepoliticalus.wordpress.com.

Howver, when I want it to show as thepoliticalus.com, and I get stuck right about that point.
If anyone can help, please let me know, remember that I purchased through godaddy.

    thx

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I did a whois on thepoliticalus.com and it isn’t due for renewal till 2012, so you should be good. You should be able to log in through the cPanel over at godaddy since the domain is hosted there and switch the DNS records to point at wordpress.COM’s nameservers.

    ns1.wordpress.com
    ns2.wordpress.com
    ns3.wordpress.com

Then you wait for about 12-24 hours and do the domain mapping upgrade here to map your blog here to your domain name.

And you do not actually do a “redirect” from you domain name, you need to change the DNS records and delete the “redirect.”
