trying to override a background image in css
-
Hello,
I’m fairly new to word press but am a web developer.I need to override a background image in the style sheet.
.slide-desc{position:absolute; right:0px; bottom:30px; width:430px; padding:25px 35px 40px 35px; color:#373737; background-image: url(‘http://www.thefarrisgroup.com/newsite/wp-content/uploads/2011/10/transparent-slide-1.png’); overflow:hidden; }
Here’s the site I’m working on:
http://www.thefarrisgroup.com/newsiteI upload the image and then create a path to it but can’t seem to get it to work.
My image name is transparent-slide-1.png
Should I be using ftp to just override the image directly?
Thank you for your help.

Sorry, you need to head over to the WordPress.org forums as that is where self-hosted wordpress blogs using the software from wordpress.ORG are supported.
These forums are for those hosted here on the wordpress.COM free hosting service and things here work differently.
If you are not familiar with the differences, see this support document.
