trying to post from Blackberry Playbook

I’m trying to find my DASHBOARD on WordPress! This site has the confusing ‘new’ format! No settings in ‘Writing’ When I try to remote publish a post on my blackberry playbook WordPress tells me there is an error. Aaaargh! how do I allow remote publishing? And another thing – on BBPlaybook it is opening in ‘stats’ which I can’t seem to get out of. Ans SO SLOW. Several years ago I used to post to WordPress from the same playbook – easily!

@mebymepoint, it sounds like you’re having a number of issues.
You’re welcome to use http://mebymepoint.wordpress.com/wp-admin/ if you prefer the old admin interface.
If you’d like to troubleshoot the new one instead, let’s start by working on the remote publishing issue. Can you tell me what you’ve been using for that?

Well what a joy to find the old dashboard! Thank you for that. I just posted by email from this playbook. But I think the dashboard would allow.me to,’write’ too. I’ve got several blogs all with the “new improved ” sic version. Goodness knows why it was changed!
So, the problem seems to be the new improved version. It’s frightfully slow and won’t let me write a post.
I’m perfectly happy with the old dashboard, which works.

No I cannot SEE the text on the actual post on the old dashboard. I can write it in a document and then paste it into the post area, but then I still can’t see it. It’s. Almost as if the script is white perhaps. But if I go to preview I can see it perfectly.
I also tried quick draft on dashboard. Everything works. Tags, schedule, preview everything. Except. Actually. Any writing in the post box under the title. I shall slog on. Any ideas?
But new improved is not working at all.

Your link won’t open on my PlayBook. I have Bing, Google, Aol, and Yahoo. I also just installed myself something called Origami browser.
I opened your link on my computer. I see it is a list of browsers.
I have tried getting Chrome on playbook but I think I have tried before – unsuccessfully..

Oh I tried posting using Origami, On dashboard, everything works, except the ability to see the text in the post I’m working on. So I write it in my documents. Copy and paste it (blindly) into the post and preview. Preview shows the writing. But I can’t see any writing in the post when in edit mode.
I think blackberry used to use Safari.
The annoying thing is that once everything worked. But now it doesn’t. For a BlackBerry. User.

@mebymepoint sorry to hear that. :/ Did wordpress.com/post work in Chrome? Usually Chrome, Firefox, and Safari should be a good bet for you if they are up to date.

Now you can’t get chrome on Blackberry Playbook – but in the days when WordPress was working, I think it used Safari. I just reinstalled the update on my playbook – maybe it isn’t using Safari. I did try on Origami – no good. I shall check if I can get Safari again.

@mebymepoint thanks. You’ll basically want to be sure you’re in a standards compliant browser. The versions listed here should work well.
