Trying to recover account
-
I am trying to recover an account that has no access to the authenticator or phone number. I made it for a class a couple years back so I didn’t bother to save the recovery information but now people are commenting on it and I want to approve the comments. I have the email and password for the account and can give some info that nobody else could, like a picture of my drivers license or a picture of my child that is in many of the pictures on the blog. I cannot submit an account recovery request because it *requires* information that I just don’t have.
Any suggestions?

There is a single process for account recovery. This is the support forum and our Support Staff cannot assist with Account Recovery; only Account Recovery Staff can assist. You have to use the account recovery form and use the Extra Details section

That page kept saying one of the proofs were required and would not let me submit it without one of the boxes checked, and once checked it requires that information. I tried just putting in a random code but the site knew it wasn’t real. I did fill out the extra information box.
There doesn’t seem to be a way to submit it without proof, or to contact a human directly.

There are no support bots here. All support staff all account recovery staff and all volunteers are human beings. There is no phone support and it would not matter if there was because the information required is identical to what is required on the account recovery form and support staff do not provide account recovery service.

So if the account recovery form keeps giving me the message that I need to submit one of the proofs, and does not submit my request, then there is no alternative?

Hi there,
I’ve sent an email to the address on file for that site. Please reply there if you receive it.
