Trying to register a domain

  Hello, I am trying to register a domain. I just want the domain. I do not want the subscription service. I simply want to buy the domain and just that. However, when I go to checkout, WordPress adds a subscription to the purchase automatically, which I do not want. Is there any way to get JUST the domain?

  If you want to use the domain with a site here at WordPress.com then a plan is required. If you just wish to buy a domain to map to a site hosted elsewhere then see: https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/register-a-domain-without-creating-a-site/
