  Received email re. renewal at current rates before increase, but email link (as well as ‘My Site’ link) tell me I do not have a WordPress site. ???

  Thanks for confirming! It looks like wordsthatmakecents.com is definitely registered with us, but with a different WordPress.com account than the one you originally posted on – you should be able to see the username you’re logged in with when you go here:
  https://wordpress.com/me/account

  As long as you’re logged in on the correct account, you should be able to renew the domain – generally you’ll want to log in on WordPress.com using the same email address to which that email was sent when you got it.
