trying to renew domain

  I accidentally let my domain (janielyoung.com) lapse (I had a baby last month and things got crazy). When I tried to sign on to renew it yesterday, I could not get in to my account, even though I’m sure the password was correct. I tried to use the google sign in option instead since my email address is a gmail, but that just opened an entirely new account. Now that’s all that’s showing up – an empty account. My WordPress blog, Cushion Cut, is gone. Can you help?

  When a domain expires, it then goes through a process that can take several months to complete described at https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/domain-expiration/.

  If you are in the grace period you will not have to agree to pay a redemption fee set by the domain name registrar that wordpress.COM staff cannot waive.

  Otherwise, if you want Staff to try to recover the domain for you then you will have to agree to pay the redemption fee.

  If you’re logged into the account that is associated with your expired domain, they will look up its status and get in touch with details.

  If you are not logged in under the correct username account then clear your browser cache https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-your-browser-cache and cookies https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-wordpress-com-cookies prior to logging into the associated account, and provide the domain URL here.

  @janielyoung061017 you’ve made a brand new account that isn’t associated with the old one. Can you log out, then log in again with your other email address (the one that got expiration notices) and password?

  You’ll want to take care of this right away before the domain goes into redemption, so please update us here right away if you’re stuck.
