Trying to renew terminate domains

The blog listed above and several others we own and had registered the domain names. Unfortunately, the domain names expired and we are experiencing a lot of trouble in trying to re-establish the domains name. One problem…the individual who set up these blogs no longer works for us and her email contact (the one on record with WordPress) has been terminated. I am list as administrator on all of these site, why can’t I renew the domain names? Other attempts to resolve this issue with WordPress have been unsucessful. We are willing to pay for these domains, but need assistance. Thank you.

Please list the domains (the URL starting with http:// ) that you are having trouble with and we can go from there.

Are the domains registered with WordPress or are they registered with a third party but have their name servers set to WordPress? If they are registers with WordPress then as an administrator you should get the option to renew them.

If the domains are registered through WordPress.com, it might also have to with whether the OP owns the blogs as the Site Owner, and is not just an Admin on the site.
This can be determined by the OP in the site’s Dashboard, under “My Blogs”. As the Site Owner when you hover your mouse over the site’s name, you should see under “Address” an option to either change the blog address or to transfer the blog. If the only thing that appears is “Leave Blog”, then you are not the site owner.
