Trying to reply to self-hosted domains – Error: Reply failed; try again later

    Hi there,

    I have an issue sometimes when I am replying via the WP.com notifications window to WP.org sites where I can SEE the comment reply from the self-hosted domain, but not actually reply to it. When I try, the error “reply failed; try again later” appears.

    My Flash and all applications are fully updated, as is my OS, and this is a problem that has persisted for at least a year on only SOME self-hosted sites. Is there some guidance I can give those blog owners to make sure this doesn’t keep happening? In addition, the reply window doesn’t easily link to the blog post in question. Rather, it just takes the user to the standard domain link.
