Trying to set "About Submissive Angel" page as home/static page.
-
I am trying to make my “About Submissive Angel” page the static home page that people first see when they visit. However, my blog is what comes up as the first thing they see. I can not find how to change this. Please advise. Currently, the site looks like this: (redacted – mature)
Thank you for your time,
Mike’s Angel -
By default the front page of your blog displays all published posts (not pages) in reverse chronological order, with the most recently published post on top. That is for the convenience of your returning visitors, who come to read your latest post, and who are not likely to be happy with being compelled to click through the same static page with the same blah, blah, blah on it every time they visit the blog looking for the latest post.
However, if you do not want all the posts to show on the front page, and know that static front pages are traffic killers, then you can create a static front page called for example “Welcome” for your site and a “Blog” page for posts. To do that create two pages first http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/
After you do that you go to > Settings > Reading and make the designation change and click “save changes”.

For details re: mature content blogs.
A blog that is marked as Mature is excluded from public areas of the WordPress.com service. This means:It is not eligible to be featured in Freshly Pressed on the front page of WordPress.com
It will not appear in global tag listings
It will not appear in Top Blogs listings, recent posts, or related posts listings on other blogs
The blog’s users cannot use that URL as a link in their WordPress.com Forums profile

Hi mikesangel,
Just letting you know I have removed your site URL from the original post here as it is mature. The blog has already been marked mature as well so it will not appear in the tag listings or be Freshly Pressed as Timethief mentioned.
