trying to set an avatar (external blog)

    I have a WordPress blog set up here: http://www.emilymorganti.com/blog

    I feel like a doofus but I can’t figure out how to give myself an avatar. (I am the admin and the only user assigned to the blog.) All of the instructions I’ve found online refer to an avatar upload field in Your Profile but I’m only seeing that on the profile page on WordPress.com, not the profile linked to the blog on my website.

    (I created this WordPress.com account so I could post here on the forum, it’s not the same as the account I’m using for my blog. I tried to log into WordPress.com using the same credentials I use for my blog and it didn’t work.)

    I can figure out how to insert pictures into my sidebar, etc., just can’t figure out how to associate my account with an avatar so it will show up in the comments. Any advice?

    You did not specify a blog address or reason for posting when you created this topic.

    This support forum is for WordPress.com hosted blogs only. If you have a self-hosted WordPress blog you need to seek help at the WordPress.org forums, not here.

    If you don’t understand the difference, you may find this information helpful.
