trying to set up a website

    I inadvertently hit launch site endnote I can’t get back to even see my home page let alone edit it. How can i unlaunch? Ive had other sites in yers past but am having a terrible time with this! Also is there a weather widget?

    What is the URL you are having issues with?

    Please keep in mind that this forum is for users that have their sites hosted with WordPress.com. If you are self-hosted (using a different hosting company) then you would be better off heading over to the WordPress.org Support Forums for assistance with the Open Source version of WordPress.     I can’t even find my site. I launched it inadvertently – now have lost the home page, formatting, etc. Having awful time with tis.

    Hi there,

    If the site is on WordPress.com and is associated with the account you’re posting from, you should be able to go to My Site and find it there. You can then go to Manage > Settings and change the Privacy settings to Private or Coming Soon to ‘unlaunch’ it.
    You should be able to go to My Site > Site > Pages/Posts etc. to edit your site. (You should be able to do this whether it’s launched or not.)

    If this isn’t working for you, telling us the URL will help us try to figure out what’s going on.
    Clearing cache and cookies, and updating your browser(s), may also solve this.

    As for a weather widget, I can’t see a mention of one in the support documents, but there are a few plugins about weather at https://wordpress.com/plugins?s=weather (although those will require the Business or eCommerce plans).

    The page can likely be found by clicking on My Sites – Site – Pages. It is probably still listed there but just isn’t published on the site. Write back with the URL if you need more help.
