Trying to set up blog off wordpress.com for the first time. Not working
-
I bought my domain off Cloudfare for my new blog. I then signed up for WordPress.com Premium. But I’m not able to actually activate my website from the URL without ‘wordpress.com’ in it, so that I am successful when visiting my URL. It still says “The site can’t be reached.”
Do I need webhosting?
On Cloudfare, on the DNS page, I pointed the CNAME to my wordpress value.
Please let me know what I am missing.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hey there! If you’re only using Cloudflare services for domain registration and nothing else, please use WordPress.com name servers to connect the domain to your WordPress.com site. Follow this support guide for the steps: https://wordpress.com/support/domains/connect-existing-domain/#option-2-manual-setup
Basically, you’ll need to change the name servers of the domain via Cloudflare (your domain registrar) to the following:
ns1.wordpress.com
ns2.wordpress.com
ns3.wordpress.com
After changing the name servers, give it time for the change to take effect. After changing the name servers, the domain might not load right away. It is usually up and running within a few hours, but it can take up to 72 hours for the DNS to fully update across global servers and internet service providers.
