Trying to set up 'links' from the homepage
-
I’m trying to set up a website for my class. What I began has already been linked to my school site as my website, and I’m having major trouble. (glassmjh.wordpress.com) From my school site it is as if I am logged in and edits can be made. Another major issue I am having is I have created from the homepage ‘links’ which I created from ‘Menu’ such as Week In a Peek, English Documents and Files, Wishlist, etc. Now that I have added documents for About Mrs. Glass, it is now as my homepage and shows when I click links for other pages. What is the difference between Menu and Page? Where should I add ‘links’ for students to click on from my homepage to bring them to another page? As of now I have added it under Menu – I tried add another page and it did not show up.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

First, from the perspective of a parent, thank you for taking the time to put this together.
Now let’s take each item one at a time.
From my school site it is as if I am logged in and edits can be made.
When I go to your site using the link that you provided, I do not have the ability to log in and make edits. Are you sure you are using the proper link (https://glassmjh.wordpress.com/) from the school website? Double-check that you didn’t accidentally included the wp-admin at the end of the web address, as this would automatically open the site as if you are logged in and edits could be made. What is the difference between Menu and Page?
Pages contain the static content of your site. Menus provide a way to organize and list your pages so that visitors can find content easily. A post is what makes your blog a blog — they’re servings of content that are listed in reverse chronological order on your site’s front page.Check out this page for more details: https://en.support.wordpress.com/post-vs-page/
If you don’t want to use this as a blog but more as an avenue to relay information to your class, then make sure to go to the Customizer and in the Static Front Page section, select “A Static page.”

That said, I would remove the link to the Word Document that you have added to the About page and paste the content directly into the body of the WP page.
Now that I have added documents for About Mrs. Glass, it is now as my homepage and shows when I click links for other pages.
I clicked around your site and didn’t have this problem. Can you explain in more detail what you’re seeing so that I can try to replicate it on my end?Where should I add 'links' for students to click on from my homepage to bring them to another page? You can either add links to pages directly on the menu (where you have Home/Back to School/Documents and Files/etc.) or you can link to pages from within other pages.
Here’s more info on that: https://en.support.wordpress.com/links/Hope this helps to ease some of your frustration. Please let me know if you need any clarification on any of this or have any other questions. Kudos to you for doing this!
