Trying to set up my church’s website

    We already own the domain myccumc.org so I want it transferred to WordPress. I’ve started the steps, but it won’t allow me to choose the free plan, it only shows me the paid options. It was hosted by FlockHosting, which was free for churches, but the owner passed away and the server is being shut down. Our church is very small and doesn’t have a budget for this, so please tell me the free hosting is still available. Our site was not created in WordPress, but I will re-create the site in WordPress as soon as we can get it moved over.

    Hi LaVerne, you’d be more than welcome to create a free site and redirect your domain to that. You will still need to pay someone for your domain registration.

    The system will prompt you for paid plans if you want to make your custom domain primary, as that is not a free feature here.
