Trying to setup Gravatar
-
Failed to locate XML-RPC API is the message I get when trying to verify my site. I get an error message –
Something went wrong when trying to locate the XML-RPC API on your blog. Please log into your WordPress admin panel, then go to Settings > Writing > Remote Publishing and check the box next to ‘Enable the WordPress, Movable Type, MetaWeblog and Blogger XML-RPC publishing protocols.’
The location – Settings > Writing > Remote Publishing does not exist.
In wordpress it says to change my profile picture to go to Gravatar and change or create it. So I created an account and its not working.

Hi there,
XML-RPC on your site appears to be disabled – if I try to view the xmlrpc.php file for your site I get a page not found error:
https://www.aclassactapparel.com/blog/xmlrpc.php
XML-RPC is what Gravatar uses to communicate with your site to verify it, so if that’s switched off, Gravatar has no way of communicating with your site. This has most likely been disabled by your hosting provider as a security precaution, so please contact them and ask them to enable it.

My WordPress isn’t hosted on wordpress.com. Thanks for trying to help! I found the problem was with FishPig. They did an update to the extension and that fixed the issue. Thanks again :-)
