trying to start a personal site, but daughter's domain showig up

I haven’t activated my account yet, but I decided to start a website for a supportive community that I organize. As I started this process, word press ends up telling me that ‘girlsrock.live’ was being generated. You see, that was a domain my 9-year-old daughter was trying to start when she was playing around on the computer. That is *not* the domain I want and I have refrained from activating my account because I have no way of knowing if I am *stuck* with that domain or if there is a way to change. Unfortunately, when my daughter did this, she used my email address and username. Please let me know where to go from here to start a completely different domain. THANK YOU.

    start a completely different domain.

    1. Login to your current domain.
    2. Click on “My Sites” on the top left corner of your page.
    3. Click on “Switch Sites”
    4. The side bar will show list of your current sites.
    5. Below this list is “ADD NEW SITE”. Click it and make new site.

    Hope this helps.

But I don’t want to pay for two sites, just one. How do I ensure that I am not subscribing to two? (And I want to get rid of the other one altogether.)

WordPress.com offers you free as well as paid plan.

You may start with a free plan. I personally use free plan for my two sites. I have also used paid plans and enjoyed additional features. Which plan to choose will depend upon your contents and purpose of starting a site.

You can have multiple free (and paid) sites simultaneously. If you want to delete a site (say, the earlier created by your daughter) click this link.

    Hope this helps.
