Trying to take down an old blog and stop payment

    Hi. I set up a blog for my daughter about 4 years ago which she never used. Every year I keep getting charged for the site even though I can’t see it on the list of my sites so I’m sure I closed it down…but obviously not as I’ve just had another reminder that it’s set to expire. Maybe I created an account for her and set it to renew. I have no way of being able to access it or close it down. WordPress are due to take another payment for this site on 18th October. Help!

    What is the URL to the site you need help with?

    You have to log in to your account and Remove Site Upgrades. If you go to your Purchases page (https://wordpress.com/me/purchases) you can cancel your domain upgrades there.

    The account you’re using to post here doesn’t own any upgrades with us, and we don’t even have a credit card on file for you which we could charge.

    If you’re not sure what site or account the charge is for, please search for the charge at https://wpchrg.wordpress.com/ – enter the transaction details on that form, and it will tell you if that charge exists on our end and what site it’s for.

    You can also use the Contact Support link on that page to contact our billing support team directly for further help with this – to track down the transaction we’ll need to get some additional information from you which we cannot discuss here in the public forums.
